5 Trends in Children’s Decor for 2025

Anyone else just feel like a complete overhaul of their home when the New Year hits? I know how exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) it can be to refresh a space, especially when it comes to our kids' rooms. Recently, I decided to give my son Theo’s bedroom a bit of a makeover, and it got me thinking about the latest trends in children’s decor. If you’re looking to revamp your child’s room or just want some inspiration to make some tweaks, here are the top five trends for 2025 that I’ve come across and absolutely love 🫶🏼

Arches

Arches are making a big comeback in 2025! Whether it’s through painted wall features, arch-shaped mirrors, or curved furniture, this trend adds a soft, playful touch to any room. Arches create a sense of flow and can make a space feel more open and inviting. Incorporating this design element in your child’s room is an easy way to add a bit of interest and charm.

Nature-Inspired Themes

I’m seeing loads of nature-inspired decor this year, and I’m all for it! Earthy tones, botanical prints, and natural textures are perfect for creating a calm, cosy vibe. Whether it’s a mural of a woodland scene or some cute flowers made from wood or rattan, bringing a bit of the outdoors inside makes for a natural, relaxing space.

Personalised Spaces

One trend I can’t get enough of is personalised spaces. As a huge part of my business, I just love knowing that you’re receiving something truly special and personal to you when you order a name decal or plaque. It’s great to see parents get creative with custom wall decals, name plaques, and even DIY crafts to make their child’s room unique. It’s such a fun way to let kids express themselves and feel a real sense of ownership over their space.

Bold Colors and Patterns

Although I will always be a lover of beige and most definitely DO NOT think that any ‘beige mum’ is sad, I am loving all the colour we are seeing recently 🌈 2025 is all about bold colours and playful patterns. My current faves are mustard yellow, deep teal, and terracotta, mixed with geometric shapes, stripes, and quirky prints. It’s a fantastic way to inject some energy and personality into a room.

Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Materials

Sustainability is huge right now, and it’s great to see it making its way into children’s rooms. More and more parents are opting for eco-friendly options like organic cotton bedding, bamboo furniture, and non-toxic paints. These choices aren’t just better for the planet, they’re also healthier for our little ones. 🌎

So there you have it, those are 5 trends I think we will be seeing more of throughout 2025, and I’m loving the direction things are heading. Whether you’re redoing your child’s room or just picking up a few new pieces, these trends are sure to help you create a space that’s stylish, sustainable, and unique to your family.
